Art II Disney Dreaming

When I first heard that there would be a special series of photos made specially for Disney, I wasn't entirely sure of what it was. I thought that it would be photos of Disneyland or something, but boy was I wrong.

The photos were taken by Annie Leboivitz, who is known to have a very cinematic style in terms of photography, and she had taken the Disney characters and breathed new life into them by having celebrities dress up as the famous and well-loved characters of the different fairytales.
It's definitely exciting to see how each photo would resemble the movie counterpart and seeing the transformation of the celebrity into the adaptation was something worth looking forward to.

Though they have started coming out with the Disney Dream Portraits
since 2008, they do manage to update with new photos each year.

I really like the way the photography was edited and the whimsical feel it has to it. I'm excited to see what other portraits they'll come up with, but that would be in a while since they had just release three new additions (this would be the top three photos).

I hope they make one of the Princess and the Frog and Tangled soon. Those two movies are the newest additions to the collection of Disney fairytales.

Who else ?
Mulan, Milo and Kida from Atlantis, Jane and Tarzan from Tarzan, Esmeralda, Phoebus and Quasimodo from Notredame, Jungle Book.....So many possibilites. I hope they come up wiht new portrait soon.

From a Disney Baby.
